Mobile Device Application Essay Example for Free

Mobile Device Application Essay umber ME, in position MIDP and CLDC specifications and Mobile gizmo hardw atomic number 18 coffee berry is also referred to as a programming environment oriented to the server and it is based on a derive of technologies which constitutes the Java 2 Enterprise Edition (J2EE). Such technologies embarrass servlets, JavaServer pages (JSPs), and Enterprise JavaBeans (EJBs). Nowadays, Java is officially known as Java 2 platform and it is split up into three distinct editions Java 2 Enterprise Edition (J2EE), Java 2 Standard Edition (J2SE), and Java 2 Micro Edition (J2ME). Java 2 Micro Edition (J2ME) has three concepts, namely profiles, configurations, and optional packages. All of them determine Java features relevant, available application programming interfaces, and the form in which applications ar packaged. J2ME has two configurations Connected Limited Device Configuration (CLDC) and Connected Device Configuration (CDC). CLDC is designed for active devices with slow processors (Enrique Eric 2001 pp. 28- 45). at that place are two versions of CLDC versions 1. 0 and 1. 1. CLDC specifies the ability of Java virtual machine, a small subset of J2SE 1.3 classes, and a set of application programming interfaces for output/input which is also called Generic federation Framework. However, CLDC is limiting programming platform as it does not specify the implementr interface classes. Hence, alternative classes that are defined by J2ME profile are necessary and such include MIDP to accomplish anything substantial. Java runtime environments for devices such as pagers, resource-challenged handheld devices, and cell ph stars is defined by Mobile Information Device Profile (MIDP).MIDP repoint devices are characterized by healthy memory to run its applications, bit-addressable display (96*56 pixels), touch screen, and two-way wireless enhanced networking. There exist two versions of MIDP which are defined by Java Community Proces s and include Java Specification Request 37 (MIDP 1. 0) and Java Specification Request 118 (MIDP 2. 0). Nevertheless, most of the devices in the market apply MIDP 1. Besides, MIDP 1 does not provide standards for interfacing to the phonebook in a device and synchronization of data.In particular, MIDP specifications are silent in one area how MIDP applications are loaded onto a device and how they are activated or deactivated (Enrique Eric 2001 pp. 40-68). Record Management strategy and MIDlet methods Record management organisation is a key sub carcass of the Mobile Information Device Profile and is an application programming interface. Besides, Record Management system provides a persistence on-device data. Therefore, Record Management System acts as the sole facility for storing data locally record store.Reason being only a couple of mobile devices sustains a conventional system of files. The MIDP Record Management System facilitates a way in which application data is stored to ensure that it persists across MIDlet. Record Management System is a simp0le database with a row comprised of two columns. One is a unique row identifier while the other contains a sequence of bytes that represents record data. Record stores are identified by a special name which consists of 32 characters in all(prenominal) MIDlet entourage. There are a number of MIDlets applicable in the record store. First, ReadWrite MIDlet is creates record store, carry through down records into persistent storage and reads them, and deletes the record store while exiting. This MIDlet has convenience methods which opens, closes, and deletes record stores. Secondly, IntegerSort MIDlet is used to retrieve records and sort them on basis of their integer honour within each record. Nevertheless, its codes do not have a distinct difference from the previous MIDlets. The only additional features are ways of extracting appropriate fields, touchable sorting, and the comparator get word class. Integer C lass MIDlet establishes a sort order by different integers and every record passed through has various Java data. Lastly, is the StringSearch MIDlet which enables distinct for records in the Record Management System and it also beefs-up the User Interface. In creating a UI, a text filed, form, and two commands are established. Upon activation, all tasks are penalize within the CommandAction ( ) method.Consequently, upon request of CmFind command, SearchRecordstore ( ) initiates searching and it involves assigning SearchFilter ( ) class instance which associates it with record enumeration object Enrique Eric 2001). Sprites basics (Image Sets and Tools Class) and package classes ( fine art class) Spites basics animation in Java can be written in frame animation, sprite animation, and/or both of the two. Mostly, these are used to write mobile enabled application games. There are a number of classes which are important to learn in order to understand Java programming and in particula r the sprite animation. These include the Tool equip, Image, Graphics, Random, and Media Tracker. Image class is regarded as the super class when compared with the others and it represents graphical images. Besides, images have to be obtained in a platform specific manner (Richard, 2001). The fact that image is an abstract class makes it impossible to instantiate objects in this class, and besides objects of type image are obtained by applying a roundabout approach. Hence, it makes use of tool kit class. In regard to tool toolkit class, it is probable access system-dependent resources by making use of system their unique codes. In the Graphics class cite page 8 thither are two variables but of particular importance is the Graphics reference type as shown below. Figure 1. The Graphics class. private Graphics offScreenGraphicsCtx private twist animationThread Listing 2 Note Richard, GB, 2001, Fun with Java Sprite Animation, Part 1 It refers to an object that serves as an off-screen gra phics context and is an area of memory that serves as a stand-in for the computer screen. It facilitates to rapidly blast pictures from the off-screen Graphics context onto the actual computer screen. As this process does not interfere with the ocular image when creating pictures, it renders a smoother animation which can be achieved by creating and drawing the pictures directly on the computer screen. Thus, it does away with possible distractions and flashing. Graphics class makes provisions for methods which can be applied to draw pictures on a graphics context (Richard, 2001). tuition environments for the Windows phone, the Apple iPhone, the Google Android platforms and Location ground Services (LBC).Mobile application development involves a process in which in-built and downloaded applications are developed for hand-held devices suh as cell phones and personal digital assistants. The windows mobile development requires C/ C++ programming language. Visual Studio is nevertheless the most reliable development environment for creating exam, and deploying applications in the Microsoft Windows platform. Besides, this Visual Studio facilitates ample support for the development of Windows Mobile applications. To develop mobile applications, Visual Studio 2005 Edition and Visual Studio Professional Edition are required. Mobile packet Development Kits are freely available but they are dependent on device format and platform. Besides, these Software Development Kits are unique for every every family of Windows Mobile Phone (Enrique Eric 2001). Google Android is an operating system that serves as a platform for mobile applications. The necessary programming language for Android is Java although it is important for the developer to be knowledgeable in XML.In addition one requires Eclipse IDE and to work in Microsoft Windows, Mac OSX, or Linux environments. Android Software Development Kit comprises of Developer tools such Android Asset Packaging Tool, Android Debug Bridge, Dalvik Debug Monitor Service Emulator and system images that represents Android operating system Documentation Sample Code that contains API programming guidelines Integrated Development environment Support which uses Eclipse IDE as it has special plug-ins (Android Development Tool speeds up testing process, enables User Interface, application description, and graphical representations).Location Based Services offers mobile phone users a personalized service in order to establish their online physical location. Location API for J2ME (JSR179) is a generic API used to develop Location Based Services. J2ME Location API specification identifies javax. microedition. location which is a discretionary package that facilitates software developers to write wireless Local Based applications for resource-limited mobile devices. JSR179 entails Connected Device Configuration or CLDC version 1. 1 and the type of hardware platform determines applicable location methods (Enrique Eric 20 01 PP. 20-39).To develop operating system for iphone, one requires working on a Mac OSX computer that runs X code tools. X code is suite that provides support for project management, building executables, code editing, source-level debugging, and performance tuning others. X-code application provides the foundation source-code development environment and besides x-code is the only probable tool to use in creating iphone applications. As mentioned earlier, iphone Software Development Kit runs only on Mac environment that have installed Intel processors (Enrique Eric 2001 PP. 40-50). Philippines Economic Growth Essay Example for Free

Philippines Economic Growth EssayThe Philippines has a representative democracy modeled on get together States system of g everyplacenment. Its republic type of government has overly a prexyial system of government with bicameral legislature and an independent judiciary wherein the president is limited to six years of terms. Whenever there are troubles experienced within the government of the Philippines, leaders tends to seek help and often times united States incessantly offers help and assistance to the Philippines. Although historically speaking, they were once the conquerors of the Philippines. Both government are being attcked by terrorist which opposes the kind of leaders and leadership in the country. Philippines is considered as sensation newly industrialized country located in S step to the foreh east Asia. It is also the fastest growing economy in Southeast Asia posting a GDP growth rate of 7.5% in 2007s second quarter. (Hook demeanor, 2007.p.A1). As pard to the United States the GDP of the Philippines is really off the beaten track(predicate) from US GDP rate of 88% over the past decades and until the present. United States is really a great country and is considered to be where the worlds largest gross domestic product rate is. GDP per capita of the Philippines is estimated to be $5,700 in 2007 which is far behind the GDP per capita of the United States which is estimated $44,000 for this year.( US treasury Dept. 2007) Unemployment rates in the Philippines is 7.9% while US is just half of it at 4.4%. This reflects how hardworking the Ameri washstands as compare to Filipinos who merely wants a simple life and simple way of living. Inflation rates in the Philippines is 2.3% which makes the economy more hopeful in the present statistics. The subject field government debt as a percentage of GDP rates in the Philippines is as gamy as $316.65 billion or 69.9% of GDP while United States only has $19billion or 0.16% of GDP. (wikipedia) The le vel of technological instruction in the Philippines is not also as greater than in the United states. The Philippines is attracted to Japan made products and mainland China influenced imitation of much lower quality technologies as compared to hight technological quality provided in the United States. This is one great disappointment regarding consumer decision making bf Filipinos who tends to profane more unspoileds and commodities at a cheaper price but not of high quality. They tend to overlook the specifications of a certain of product because of high costs. The level of infrastructural development in the Philippines is not really that far, because the country is taking its phase in cities where rises of buildings and commercial establishments are rampant. There are certain issues concerning how this infrastructures will be build because tax in the Philippines is really high thats why investors sometimes thinks doubly of getting involved in dealing businesses in the country . The high cost of materials, custody and cost of permit is sometimes unfair on the furcate of investor. It becomes a gamble investing on a place where you will think twice if it will really profit once its already made and set up there. While infrastructural developments in the United States evoke be considerably good because in cities like New York where it is known to as the city that never sleeps, one business establishment will really profit because heap keeps on going and going all day and night long. Sociostinting indicators that greatly affects the statistics of a certain country such as education, access to health care, brush water, etc. is also considered as one great factor in a progressive nation. For a country like Philippines, educational system can be considered competitive enough because it produces competent and skilled professionals nowadays. As far as United States education is concern because of course reality speaks that American learner are really ahead i n terms of quality of education. Going back to History, American are also known as Thomasites which brought up high standards of education in the Philippines.Brain Drain is one common problem in the Philippines, after years of studying where Filipinos receive of high quality education, they goes out of the country and work for a higher salary. The tendency is the economy of such country raises and the downfall of professional statistics in the Philippines is experienced. They prefer to use the knowledge theyve erudite from their own country as a stepping stone to more opportunities abroad.Health Problems and medical assistance is also a factor in a countrys economic growth for Filipinos who lives in a country with more illness there is a bigger tendency not to perform well in teach for students who are still studying and for employees who works hard int heir professions. The more persuasive you are working, the more tendency of being sick is.The sad part is that there are some ins tances that medical assistance is far at hand like in cases that we still need to ask help from other countries like the United States which is more medically advanced and this also results a deduction in our statistics because we need to pay for those medicines and medical experts from foreign countries. Abusing the environment is also one reason why people tends to suffer economically. Improper use of natural resources and pollution is one great threat on the Philippines Economic growth. At present, there are many Foreign investors who wants to take risk and be involved in having business with the Philippines and this also provides greater opportunity on the countries statistics because it paves way for a more chance of paying debts and increase employment rates to Filipinos. Talking about change, we really dont need to compete with any other countries, we can content our economic needs by providing what it needs and at the same time going about business in supporting services an d exports that bear brought in much needed foreign exchange and help raising our economic status at its best. Great rates and percentage economically comes from people who strives hard and decides best in doing businesses and witty decision making.References Hookway, James. (2007). Wall Street Journal p. Electronic Manufacturing Services Industry Commerce Essay

electronic Manufacturing Services Industry Commerce EssayThis enquiry discusses Electronic Manufacturing Services persistence and canrs trends and it is relation to impart kitchen range aspects of electronics industry. The challenges that calculated and still facing this industry atomic number 18 discussed in details. Electronic Manufacturing Services industry provides solutions and mechanisms to solve supply chain problems in electronics industry. A case study of Flextronics International Company presented to explain how this industry helps true Equipment Manufacturer and how it can be a good solution for the major problems and challenges in electronics manufacturing world.IntroductionElectronic Manufacturing Services (EMS) or Contract Manufacturer (CM) has started their service since 1960, once huge Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) began working with subcontractor in order to achieve to a greater extent network and to deal with steep ask changes without the unavoid ably to wisely moil and capital. The EMS industry grew up and played a major role in manufacturing accomplishes and technology, also EMS providers have increased their cap powerfulness, manufacturing flexibility, purchasing power and cost reductions of material used in this industry. Therefore, it has been k nonty for OEM to cope with proud request changes and manufacturing flexibility beside cost reduction since EMS providers had handle all of those aspects efficiently 1.From 1970 to 1990, EMS has increased their role and sh atomic number 18 in global earnings and supplied a high variety of services such as assembly, prototype, testing, circuit board, material purchase and solicitude, and shipping to the end guest. A huge demand was created delinquent to technological evolution since 1990 this has obliged OMEs to deal with EMS providers in order to respond to a greater extent than efficiently to overlap innovation, the shorter disembodied spirit staves and dynamic changes of demand. EMS providers have facilitated enlargement and development of OEM companies by providing them high flexibility and better control of the variety of new products and demand changes 1.Outsourcing works better in electronics industry for some(prenominal) reasons. First, the products of most electronics atomic number 18 similar in production process and building methodology. Second, the nature of electronics market places is very dynamic and interacted which push OMEs to deal with EMS. All parts of personal computers and medical appliances are consisted from parts such as capacitors, memory chips, and resistors. The reason that pays the product unique is the method of joining the different parts onto printed circuit board, customization of comp superstarnts and parts, and the programming of the device and its limited software. The basic similarity in finished goods makes the EMS to have an easy methodology to divide their apparatus, skills and data, and informa tion to cope with several production orders 2.Challenges Facing Electronics IndustryThe main(prenominal) challenges that faced and still facing this industry and cause it to deal with EMS areHigh customization customers demand is increase continuously and rapidly. They required the manufacturers to produce vastly customized products chop-chop and at relatively little cost. This results in very high load and twinge on electronics firms to respond to those highly customized orders with flexible supply chain and low cost 3.Second challenge is the short life cycle producers have to manufacture new products that have good price, keep up reasonable profit and keep market carry on. This exit result in too short life cycles of products and will make it more complicated to forecast customer demand. Therefore, manufacturers moldiness be close to customers and must work with retailers and resellers to better understand markets needs and demand 3.Third challenge is memorial control versu s quick declination the dispute environment in electronics industry requires the manufacturers to produce components at low price with new performance and functionality, to keep high competitiveness. Therefore, using the existing inventory as early as possible is very important to maintain profit 3.The conflict between supply and demand is the fourth challenge material is one of the main constrained in electronics industry. Continuous production of new products and redesign of old parts and components are be processed while the prediction of customer demand is very difficult. Therefore, manufacturer must work collaboratively with material suppliers to satisfy demand and at the same time they have to work with retailers to forecast customers demand 3.The fifth challenge is the high pressure from distributers and retailers to deliver products at the right time and right place. This applies high strain on electronics manufacturers. Thus, good communications and collaboration with re tailers and distributers is required to guarantee better delivery and customer mirth 3.EMS Industry Growth and Supply ChainEMS industry has a major role in supply chain management and components. It is being an important part and partner in electronics manufacturing world. The reasons behind this evolution are as followsEconomical scale the demand of electronics is increasingly very high, and it depends on product cycle. Therefore, if EMS providers decide to increase capacity to satisfy high customer demand this will ladder to excess labor and resources but, they have the ability to shift those excess labor and resources to another OME customer. This means that EMS providers have high flexibility and alternatives to deal with 2.Main capability electronics industry witnesses high competition between OEMs thus, looking for customer needs and expectations is very important part to design high competitive products quickly. Thus, the main capability of OME is in new product design and customer satisfaction. By dealing with EMS, electronics OMEs can focus and make more attention on new products design and customer satisfaction 2.Decreasing materials cost the huge growth of EMS providers gives them more power and influence of obtaining raw materials. This increased power and size can result in diminish components costs 2.Better profit and return on investment electronics manufacturing overhead cost and capital investment is very high and to pay it back it disciplines massive time. Taking into consideration that the life cycle is short in this industry, it will be very big(p) to make the decision of investment. Thus, EMS providers can help OEM to take their decision by constructing the whole manufacturing processes and overhead cost which will result in better profit and return on investment 2.The high pressure of time to market as we discussed before, the cycle time of the product is too short thus, being at the top in the market is very meaty to gain higher p rofit. EMS providers can supply capacity and expertise required for new products and new design process quickly. Therefore, EMS providers have the ability to bring new products into market quickly and satisfy customers demand 2.Markets globalization nowadays, markets are being global and OMEs are struggling to satisfy demands in global markets. EMS providers have the ability to take the advantage of low labor costs in many places in the world. Furthermore, they can supply products at short lead time and precipitate supply chain costs locally 2.EMS Providers CustomersChoosing customers is the most important decision for EMS providers. Since EMS providers are not in the business to make demand, they must be too-careful and aware about(predicate) products that have huge market demand in addition to future changes. EMS providers must place themselves in manufacturing areas that change them to add more value. For instance, most of EMS companies get rid of personal computers assembly processes and they get more involved in medical electronics, servers and cell phones so they can add more value to their manufacturing processes collectible to the high demand on those electronics areas 2.Typically, EMS providers have a long customer found and they are producing a collection of components and products. Consequently, they achieve high production and capacity utilization. EMS is striving to build high diversity of OME customers to gain higher return on their investment and improver utilization. Additionally, by building this wide base, EMS providers can compensate the demand from other customers if one of their customers market has gone d cause 2.Another issue for choosing customers is the contentions. Once EMS wants to make contract with a competitor of one of its customers, EMS provider usually ask for permission from his old customer, thus he will construct a special production line for this new customer. This behavior leads to construct EMS industry that has e thical base and reliable attitude. Furthermore, the maturity of EMS industry will lead to high competition within electronics industry and tenuous OEMs have the ability to grow up within short period into big confederacy through dealing with EMS providers and taking the advantage of their supply chain capabilities 2.EMS Industry and Supply Chain ManagementEver more, EMS providers are not only produce components and provide services but they are also being a major part of supply chain solutions to OME manufacturers. Supply chain roles consist of product manufacturing and design, shipping and delivery to end users, demand forecast and expectations, suppliers management and interaction 2.Demand forecast and expectations of EMS depends basically on OEM orders. EMS providers are trying to produce all orders of OME companies. OME provides demand for long and short line periods and EMS uses the short shape for material purchasing. Long landmark demand is used typically fort capacity r equirements planning and material forecasting. The demand is very dynamic, so the long term demand may change and the OME can amend this demand based on its contract with EMS. Sometimes, if EMS provider not able to deliver the planned touchstone it may get penalized therefore, EMS starts to build its take in skilled expertise and procedures to work on demand forecasting with OEMs in order to protect itself from penalization 2. transit and delivery to end users is being a service that many EMS providers may provide. EMS providers have started to provide entire supply chain solutions. They started shipping the products to OEMs customers and end users. This results in add more value to EMS providers and to solve shipping issues that may face OEM companies. Transportation costs may be very high and OEMs want to make the assembly process close to their end users. EMS has increased its global existence to be very close to the end users markets. Building their factories close to the end users changes them to diminution lead time and decrease shipping costs to the end customers 2.In order to manufacture and design new products, EMS should expand its capacity. When OEMs outsource more and more of their works to EMS, then, filling the capacity will be not hard. The main challenge of building the capacity and the time of this building is the short life cycle of electronics products. Thus, EMS providers should be careful when to build the capacity required and should be aware how to combine and integrate all facilities and capacities of all customers to achieve higher utilization 2.Electronic Commerce and EMSRecently, EMS providers are using electronic commerce in their supply chain management strategies. The aims of using this tool are to accelerate purchasing process time, to automate purchasing process and to decrease overhead cost. Therefore, the supply chain will be more efficient and overall cost will be minimized. In addition, the application of electronic comm erce enlarges the supplier debut for EMS providers and affects global sourcing positively. Another main fact is, sharing the information between OEMs, EMS, suppliers, and end customers will be very important to integrate supply chain parties and will lead to success of EMS industry 2.Challenges Facing EMS IndustryFirst challenge is managing inventory aim, which is very hard issue for EMS providers. Presently, studies show that the typical minimum level of the inventory is about 2 weeks. Determining the level of inventory depends on true statement of demand forecast from OEM and the ability of suppliers to respond to this forecast 2.The accuracy of demand forecast is very important and depends mainly on OEM. EMS and OEM agree on unique(predicate) mechanism to capture customers needs. For example, OEM may provide one month demand and four months forecast. Based on this agreement, OEM will add one more month at the beginning of each month besides providing actual demand for the co ming month. Consequently, this kind of agreements will help to better control inventory level 2.Ability of the supplier to respond to the new demands and forecast is a major factor to help EMS controlling inventory issues. Responsiveness of supplier depends on lead time, capacity available, and safety stock level. Some suppliers choose to build additional capacity to be able to refill EMS orders within couple of days for example. EMS should provide bonus for such suppliers 2.EMS usually has many customers, this means that EMS should pool inventory for those customers. Furthermore, suppliers of EMS industry will face the same issue and they should manage their inventory to face the problem of pooling 2.Demand uncertainty is a big challenge in EMS industry thus, the owning the inventory is subjected to high risk. Unsurp salary increasely, no one wants to take the risk and own the inventory. Suppose that the supplier owns the inventory, this may lead EMS to set a high inventory level. Without a doubt, setting the optimal inventory level is very hard and taking the risk of inventory ownership needs more and more study and analysis 2.The second challenge is risk sharing in electronics industry. EMS providers have, due to their position, the ability to relocate risks to suppliers or OEM as much as they can. Their special position in electronics industry supply chain allow them spread and share the risks of demand ambiguity and capacity investments with suppliers or OEM customers or both of them. Consequently, EMS could reduce risks through supply chain relation 2.EMS Industry and Information SystemIn recent times, Make-to-Order (MTO) strategy is being more efficient in electronics industry to control demand uncertainty and short product life cycle. MTO needs more sophisticated information brass tools to control and manage the complicated supply chain. Electronic commerce ability must be improved and used in this industry. Another challenge to EMS information system s is to design for manufacturing product and process. The ability of prediction and innovation of new designs necessitates EMS to continuously improve its knowledge base and information system tools 2.Flextronics Case StudyFlextronics International is EMS provider registered as Singapore Company and based in San Jose. It was founded in 1969 and from 1994 to 1998 it expanded and gained high growth in several regions. The confederacys annual revenue has grown to $5.74 billion for fiscal 2000 ended March 31 from $640 million in fiscal 1997 4. Flextronics has been among the five largest EMS providers in the US since 1997 5.The company is implementing the principle of Industry Park or Campus. It built low cost production campuses in North and South America, Asia and Europe where major customers exist in. all property or campus is prepared with high manufacturing equipments and technologies, engineering staff and services, and plastics skilled expertise. Flextronics has expanded its ser vice area by being close to suppliers of its material needs such as molding of plastic, chips and microchips packaging, and product allocation at its campus in Guadalajara-Mexico, Sarvar-Hungary, and Doumen- China. The strategy of Flextronics enables its suppliers to rent areas close to campuses which help them to supply materials easily and build their own foundation. Flextronics is considered currently as a leader in responsiveness, speed, and flexibility in EMS providers world 2.The company has strength points in many areas such as product quality, purchasing capability, and customers base. It is manufacturing many products in different areas such as computers, communications, and medical equipments. The company provides its customers high degree of product and mass customizations, flexibility of production and design, superb supply chain management, efficient logistical issues and decreased time to market. Flextronics has located its business in all markets to control cyclical changes of each industry, thus rising consistency and steadiness, and improving quality. Consequently, provide the ability to OEM customers to decrease production and shipping costs and at the same time Flextronics growing up its customer foundation 2.The high diversity of services and flexibility offered by Flextronics resulted in new contracts and awards from international OEMs like IBM, Microsoft, Nokia, Ericsson, and Motorola. Flextronics has boosted its presence in Europe by purchasing Dii grouping in 2000 for $2.4 billion and in the same year, the company has achieved a huge step by signing a contract with Motorola Company for $10 billion. By signing this contract, Flextronics was planning to produce cellular phones, pagers, and other wireless devices for Motorola Company by the end of 2005. Flextronics became the major EMS provider for Motorola business. The expected value of this alliance is about $30 billion 6.Product Portfolio and Customer BaseFlextronics has broad custom er base as mentioned before. The company chooses its suppliers and customers carefully. Flextronics focuses on telecommunications products and servers. Figure 1 shows the product market mix of the company in 2000. Comparing those numbers with numbers in 1998, for example, the results shows that consumer electronics products share decreased from 10% to 8%, whereas computer products increased from 15% to 27%, and medical and others increased from 5% to 12% 5, 7.Figure 1 Percentage of Product Market Mix of Flextronics International Ltd 2.Flextronics Supply Chain Strategy and ChallengesFlextronics has transform from seller to manufacturer and EMS provider. The company chooses it suppliers carefully based on performance and trust. Meeting the demand and forecast is very important as a flyer of performance. Strategy of Flextronics is to deal with wide range of suppliers and makes acceptable profit without have narrow range of suppliers 2.Flextronics wants to supply production schedules t o customers. However, the company usually uses short term demand because it believes that the long term forecast is not accurate. Furthermore, the company has its own engineers that are responsible for demand forecast 2.The company uses Kanban system in its manufacturing factories with limited buffers at each stage. Using MTO strategy, the company doesnt own finished goods warehouse. Singapore warehouse carries on about two days of inventory from each supplier, and then ships them twice a day to the site in Malaysia. Flextronics is the owner of this warehouse and pays for inward shipping. The company wants its suppliers to have about two weeks of inventory if possible, but this is not committed inventory because it knows that its suppliers have other customers 2.Its very rare to ship components to the production location from every region in the world. Therefore, Flextronics has come up with the cast of Industrial Park to solve logistical issues that face supply chain. This strateg y enables all of the suppliers to be close or in the same region of the company campus. Furthermore, geographical boundaries can be eliminated, keep away from import and export limitations, and minimize logistical difficulties for distribution 2.Flextronics Information SystemThe complicated nature, short life cycle and demand uncertainty results in the need for complicated information system to deal with all aspects in electronics industry. It is common for EMS providers to build software solutions to enable them to track their demand, production processes and inventory control. During 1999, Flextronics use to upgrade its electronic commerce ability using some new software programs. The software allows buyers or purchasing managers to use the Internet to view customer orders and demands. A number of Flextronics major customers have their own websites to post their new orders. The company looking forward to enable suppliers in close future to view and respond to orders too. In additi on, Flextronics has web-based tool for OEMs and they can log in the website to view important information about the products being produced on production line and related quality data, engineering observations, production rates, and failure rates 2.ConclusionEMS providers are being an essential part of electronics supply chain industry. Electronic industry is very complicated and has many challenges and obstacles. Short product life cycle, uncertainty of demand, inventory problems and capacity and lead time constraints are being solved through contracting and dealing with EMS providers. EMS industry integrates supply chain and increases capacity utilization. Furthermore, it can share industry risks with OEM and suppliers. The growth of this industry is increasing since it offers several services, manufacturing solutions, supply chain flexibility, reduced materials costs and proximity to raw materials suppliers.

Impact Of Louis Vuitton On International Business

Impact Of Louis Vuitton On Inter subject field melodic lineInternational Business, due to significant features of its worldwide context, was empowered by global competition which foc economic consumptiond on both national and world economic development. Decision was the foremost approaches to be theorize of in the entry and retention of the descent once entrepreneurs figured to denote the demarcation in the international scene. Hence, strategies for the future of the business were influenced by the core managerial skills of the persons in-charged in integrating the core issues in the party. Company existed due to its aim and it should be retained utilizing the specific objectives that the gild bounded to assure along the look of the operations. Since there was a competition scheme in all atomic number 18as of business industry worldwide, success relied to planning, coordination, control and monitoring.Strategies used in the company should not be limited besides to the conc ept of local anaesthetic industry. To assure the success in the company, the management should also revise the strategies which only fitted to local industry but to the international scene also. Every business was challenged by conflicts either internal or external. Some of the features of the conflicts for international merchandise were the cultures, norms and national policies which the chosen farming where the business exit be reestablished had. In this regards, the company should used parameters in generating fast entry to the international business. It should seem like passing new-fashioned era that the business was outset anew. Decisions should focus on the four core areas. These areas included the trade programs, operations, organic lawal and financial viability. Thus, decisions are done massively to incorporate the changes on ways to be adjusted on the new environment.Style of management in the international business is an open-ended sequence of decisive powers. Thus, the researcher pres ented the status of Louis Vuitton in the international scene.http//t0.gstatic.com/images?q=tbnANd9GcQQCGPmTVvkv4sbrmHGVl88xdAehJMnSuf9VOr0Lt5PKZXhmRMiqwThis vulnerability was a screenshot of one of the Louis Vuitton Channel Distributor.Historical Background of Louis VuittonLouis Vuitton becomes a assistant of DamatLouis Vuitton was established in 1854 with massive designs of bags which introduced other forms of luggage made from canvas. The LV logo grapheme patterned with the canvass with knowledge notifying the prestige and wealth during the 19th century. The business began its career from the first designs which was uniformly to flat-bottom trunks with Trianon canvas. http//64.19.142.13/2.bp.blogspot.com/_2CVCjbOaCZ4/SLtFJMK8K-I/AAAAAAAAApA/hi-LdB3eBik/s400/Louis+Vuitton.jpgThe business altered the designs from Trianon to chromatic and brown designs. This was done not to be imitated and to avoid redundant designs. The successor of Louis Vuitton continued the business after hi s death on 1892. In 1893, it entered the U.S market and, in 1896, the company launched its signature Monogram Canvas and secured worldwide patents for it. It has since become the classic symbol of the Louis Vuitton brand. Under new management, Georges Vuitton altered some of the company policies and heightened the operations by dint of new designs using monogram-canvas design.During the new millennium, Louis Vuitton celebrated its 150th founding anniversary.Impact of Louis Vuitton on International BusinessLouis Vuitton has great impact on the economic environment scenery of the country. Louis Vuitton was known to be producers of luxurious, socialite and expensive carrefours that elite class citizens used to dreamt of having one of the items provided by the company. Most of the celebrity and public figures worldwide often denote their veritable status in the wealthy class through exposing their collections of Louis Vuitton products. Thus, the company claimed their popularity in t he international market. It can be observed that Louis Vuitton had massive impact to the international business industry. One observable impact of Louis Vuitton is on the economic aspect, for those developed countries there is the fast approach of the economic growth of their country. Some of the researchers viewed Louis Vuitton as a gene linkage to communication, access to resources, and diverse ways of thinking. Viewing it as a student, I would have to say that Louis Vuitton is two-faced. man it has provided access to employment, it has also encouraged exploitation of labor. spell it has opened the door to opportunities in other countries, it has also encouraged exporting of our human resources. While it has invited international communication, it also becomes apparent that this variant of communication turn a net only those who have access. I have yet to continue examining the impact of Louis Vuitton on the life of other country.http//t3.gstatic.com/images?q=tbnANd9GcSXgRbvQK qwwLBe9JRkxvtoup5WOBfTsAnpdOIdU_A-lWTPCzD9IHwgoOMbRwThis figure shows the SWOT Analysis of Louis Vuitton in the International Market. While Louis Vuitton offers a world of possibilities, it also opens issues that relate to social justice, particularly to those who are not advantaged by the system. Hence, people must be shed with light on this matter for further knowledge and opinion. If you think about it and look around problems of Louis Vuitton in other country, you will notice that one of the main reasons there were little possibilities of mitigatement is because of the weakness of laws. Just as politics is ruled by personality so too are laws, courts and regulatory bodies fall before this. there are studies after studies confirming this weakness, and it has nothing whatsoever to do with Louis Vuitton, and everything to do with semipolitical and legal culture. And still, we might think that Louis Vuitton has a dramatic acceleration in the empowerment of territorial shifts.Stru cture of Louis Vuitton in International BusinessBefore expanding into a foreign market, careful consideration must be made regarding type of business entity with which the firm will enter that market. Each organization type has specific strengths and weaknesses that should be carefully weighed according to the business and legal climate of the country we are entering and our business system. The three types of business organizations were used by Louis Vuitton in their entry to the international sceneLouis Vuitton utilized the joint run a risk to partner with other business in different countries. Most of the country prohibited the foreign company to operate to their country unless being partnered with local business in the said countries. This was one of the strategic decisions that Louis Vuitton incorporated in order to select the more capable and competent business in the country where they prefer to divvy up their products.Louis Vuitton becomes a partner of DamatThis was a joint venture of Louis Vuitton and Damat from Orka Group company in Turket for the operation of the company in the Turkish Region.A joint venture of Louis Vuitton with Damat in the Turkey would allow the business to enter that foreign market of Turkey capitalizing on the pre-existing business reputation of that Damat. In addition to deferring part of the risk involved, Louis Vuittons market entry allowed minimal entry costs as the Damats pre-existing presence can be exploited. The customer base, reputation and distribution mesh of Damat allowed Louis Vuittons rapid market penetration with a minimum of supply chain and marketing problems.Additionally, partnership of Louis Vuitton and Damat accessed to suppliers and local financing easing potential problems associated with a foreign business operating in Turkey. Thus, the two make the contracts verifying the risks and sharing of loss and profit through the generation of business concerns like profitability, ethics, and situations that could potentially lead to litigation. The second pre-operation of Louis Vuitton in the international market was through channel of distribution. Typically, the distributor is responsible for carrying inventory for the market and is the local service provider for warranty claims. As far as the buyer is concerned, the distributor is the face behind our products. Seemingly in the Philippines, Michelle job Company was the chosen distributor of Louis Vuitton. Through the license of the Michelle Trading Company in the Philippines, the said company acquired sample products of Louis Vuitton and resold the products to the residents in the Philippines who craved to have Louis Vuitton products. The buyers would no longer travel abroad to buy the expensive product plus allocated cost of transportation but instead, the products came available through the channel distributors. This type of relationship allows market entry with yet lower entry costs, and offers the added benefit of deferring direct costs of doing business in the foreign country to the distributor. As a result, start up costs are nearly non-existent the distributors existing business operations are used exclusively.Because of this, this arrangement allows immediate market penetration. The last operational transaction of the Louis Vuitton to have successful entry to the international business was through the wholly-owned subsidiary. Louis Vuitton had many subsidiaries in different countries in North America and across Asia. The manner of organization of the new business entity would be determined by the inescapably of Louis Vuitton and the laws and regulations of the foreign country. As explained, a wholly-owned subsidiary presents the best option for greatest control over market entry. It also allows for greater profitability as profits will not be disbursed between business partners or consumed by a distributor. Our firm will have direct contact with customers, the distribution chain, creditors and the local industry. As a result, this presents the best opportunity for long term growth in the foreign country and will allow for easier future expansion in the region. Each form of business structure has strengths and weaknesses which empowered the Louis Vuitton operation very visible to public and a success in their orientated operations. In decision making which structure to utilize in entering a foreign market, careful consideration should be made regarding both our firms strategy and the legal risks and ramifications associated with that strategy. It is imperative that competent, experience legal counsel be consulted to examine that strategy prior to committing to any action.FindingsAn evaluation of the companys internal strengths and weaknesses and external opportunities and threats served as the foundation for this strategic analysis and marketing plan. The plan focuses on the companys growth strategy, suggesting ways in which it can build on existing customer relationships, and on the developm ent of new products and/or service targeted to specific customer niches.International Business should establish an objective to achieve cumulative growth in net profit. To accomplish its marketing objectives, International Business should develop benchmarks to measure progress. Regular reviews of these objectives will provide feedback and possible corrective actions on a timely basis. The major marketing objective is to gain a better understanding of the needs and satisfaction of current customers. Since International Business is benefiting from reorder rate, it must be satisfying its current customers. International Business could use the knowledge of its successes with current clients to market to new customers. To capitalize on its success with current clients, benchmarks should be established to learn how International Business can improve the products it now offers through knowledge of its clients needs and specific opportunities for new product offerings. These benchmarks shou ld be determined through marketing research and International Business marketing information system. Another objective should be to analyze the circuit carding cycle International Business now uses to determine if there are ways to bill accounts receivable in a more evenly distributed manner throughout the year. Alternatively, repeat customers might be willing to place orders at off-peak cycles in choke for discounts or added customer services. International Business also should create new products that can utilize its current equipment, technology, and knowledge base. It should conduct simple research and analyses of similar products or product lines with an eye toward developing specialty advertising products that are software based but not necessarily calendar related.http//www.legacytrunks.com/images/Louis%20Vuitton%20Trunk%206.jpgThis study is focused on gaining knowledge of reality through the study of social construction of International Business which gives us an interpre tive and explorative view of the interaction and relationship among dynamic capability, continuous installation, and entrepreneurship. Dynamic capabilities create strategic advantages by integrating and recombining the external and internal resources. The capabilities of managing resources affect the performance that they can reduce costs and improve product/service quality to fit the firms strategy and technology to accomplish the task of continuous innovation.http//t3.gstatic.com/images?q=tbnANd9GcQCycX7-aDJBvI_3uQLHu1yxHWXtj3kAdHnsXMyEnAiJAB4fsNG1QConcluding StatementsInternational businessesface some serious challenges issues and solutions about what products or services should be attractive for confused foreign markets, possible problems with the transfer of currency, the uncertainties associated with predicting the costs and profitability, creating significant management problems, the impact of different cultures, the complexity of choosing the optimal structure for international b usiness, taxation and pricing, high political risks, etc.Series of development varies the effects of the structure, technology and people in the socio-technical system in such organization. Nation As A Myth Is India A Myth History Essay

Nation As A Myth Is India A Myth storey EssayThe dictionary definition of Nation is A group of large number who shargon the same desti ground, ethnicity and language, often possessing or seeking its own independent government. When one looks at this definition and then re-thinks about it for the Indian prospective, The first occasion that rise up to the mind is either there is or sothing remarkably wrong with the definition, as India has is a combination of a plethora of cultures, ethnicities and languages or hence is a accomplished misfit for being termed as a Nation or there is something wrong in the behavior with the way the world understand what a Nation is. basic exclusivelyy the self-colored concept of nation is an imaginary concept. Its never possible that people will be influenced by the same likes of culture or ethnicity. A pitying mind tends to deviate from what normal around it to explore new things, when a group of people live together by the will or by virtue i ts called a society. Each member of the society is unique, He business leader not be there purely because of his will to be there, But might be compelled to be there because of respective(a) factors. This might be financial, Social, And Family or lack of different options. We cannot interpret that the exclusives staying in the society are spokesperson of the culture or adhere to the same ethnicity. The chances of them being there by choice is as good as for them being there by choice. Now fetching the concept of a society to a broader target, it gives us a few foundation pillars towards the concept of a Nation. Although people might be a part of it, alone its not necessary they want to be there. They mostly are there, because either the decision to be there was taken on their behalf by their Elders (in elusion of a partition or plebiscite), by their Leaders (Again a leader is not one which represents everyone but a majority) or they belonged to the get from birth. The concep t of Nations is flesh out as expressed much much much complex than it was ever thought to be. As put in new literature by umpteen writers, Nations is an imaginary concept and hence should be distinguished in the way they are imagined. The fact is, the concept of a nation is more of an vagary its an idea of people from a common culture and values, their desire and will towards quitdom. We had been reading from the text books for ages that Unity in Diversity is what India stands for as a nation. But the whole idea of India as a nation is been criticized much because of its failure to become a single unified Nation state in the likes of Germany (after the East Germany and atomic number 74 Germany) and Japan. One can as well claim that India has done much better in terms of keeping the minor states together, unlike the rest of Europeor the far gone USSR which are now divided into various small states. The Indian nation reflects the counter of the Europe small countries that were homogeneous when packed in terms of population and culture, England, Germany and France to title a few. Even Islamic nations like Iran, Iraq or Saudi Arabia were let humble when it came to a concept of Nations and ended up in military one-man rule or medieval style monarchies.India as a NationThe nation state idea never worked for India, because of it size and diversity. For others like Europe, they had to work leaden to inhibit their divisions and prejudice the idea of nationhood. India similarly fails to stand as a nation unlike other Nations is because India set out for a democratic model, whereas the other nations were on imperialistic rule and not an integrated culture encompassing the subcontinent.Diversity in India adds to the failure of idea of the Indian NationIndia with it diversity has failed as a nation right from the hammeration of India as an independent untaught. Firstly the formation of the Islamic nation of Pakistan, Then the Issue of Kashmir, The norther nmost-East, The khalistan accomplishment, The recent show downs from Telangana, Gorkhanland etc. India had been harm at the hands of the minor states, and in order to maintain a nationwide feel, has been dealing with them by avoiding the issue till the very last comprise when any foster push will result in a crack in the complete National structure and then b closing down to the demands. Not to mention after a heavy disrupt and unnecessary bloodshed. The idea of the Nation of India chronologically speaking has never been a single State. History has its records that all those who tried to keep India as unified states failed in their endeavours weather it whitethorn be the King Ashoka or Alexander. What these great rulers identified in this land was that the diversity of its origin and existence is not only trivial to capture but to keep united in public interest is a superhuman task. Yet, India emerged as a golden bird in the early 16th Century and attracted a lot of unwanted att ention from other Nations. The British came to India for handicraft and sighted an opportunity to take charge as the nation was spread in forms of small kingly states sooner than as a Nation. It took our leader decades in the struggle for freedom, And the first thing that was set to harbinger the lack of National interests post independence was the partition of Pakistan and the formation of East and West Pakistan. The Indian governmental leaders had sleepless nights trying to put a map in place for the unified princely states in India.Pivotal role of Indias FreedomWhen the jade party in England won the elections, their chief agenda of decision of discontinuation of the British Empire in India, Different communities in India started demanding of India as a free state or as a State of States. It was for the United National Congress will that they 562 princely states became a part of India. But not all the states were happy for this, As a result of this political decision, there we re riots between Hindus and Sikhs and Hindus and Muslims. The demand for Hindu State from the Hindu Mahasabha, The demand for Sikh State in Punjab, The Dravidians in South India, The Tamil State and the issue with Hyderabad and Kashmir who cited independence. either the demands for differentiate states were demands from the political parties as they saw an opportunity to have the power of the land and similarly to gain maximum benefits for themselves and their go withers from the same. The formation of Pakistan, Added fuel to the already heated demands for separate States, and the feeling of discontent with India as a Nation started to fade up to now before it was established. India then was ruled by Indian National Congress and Pakistan was governed by The Muslim League. Whereas the other stated were pleased by giving them individual power in their own regions. A total of 25 states were created post independence to feed the political hunger of those regions. This set out the lif eless human body of the Indian Nation which was more of a compromise of State wise governing rather than a nationwide government. The other discontent states in the likes of Telengana, Gorkhaland, Kashmir and others were nevertheless left unanswered. And since then the issues have been kept avoiding till the judgment of conviction when avoidance resulted in further blows to the so called nationalism in the country.India has never been in a chauvinistic phase, the fragmentation in India occurs due to the political will. Where a particular political party keeps fragmentation or demand for a separate govern state as an agenda to come to power. And its not related to some minority areas which have a low impact on India, But India faces the tie from all directions and every corner with a demand for a separate state. In 2002 the then in power political party had to make way for three more states in order to fulfil the political appetite of the political parities of the concerned reg ions. But the government always fails to find a final result to the problem In 2002 the government took the steps to avoid any more drama on the topic but indirectly ignited the sentiments of the political parties from other regions who have been fighting for a separate state. The Gorkhas with their issue for Gorkhaland, The Telangana issue which has been hot for a long time now, the demand for Bundelkhand, The demand for Saurashtra etc. Were reignited and the political parties got afresh agenda to create havoc.History and Social Issues of India as a NationThis political view is not just challenged on the basis of Region, But also on the basis of Religion, Caste, Race and Language. With the political drama in Maharastra for the Marathi Manus has been a nuisance. Which is nothing more than a agenda to capture vote swear in the political parties there. The essence being, the parties capitalize of the fact that the people there have a lack of view of nationality and have a clearer p icture and identification in their own culture and language. And call back that they first are Marathis, (or Tamils or Gorkhas for that sake) then Indians.Apart from the political views clash on basis on Regionalism and Language, issues which budge the will of India as a nation have been as pity as Interstate disputed over Water and Territorial boundaries, Caste relate violence, Naxalism are a few to name.Partition of PakistanTaking the case of The Myth of India as a nation has been punctured right from the formation of India post independence, ending up with two different countries, India and Pakistan (East and West). Till date it remains to be a major issue and the scars of which continue to haunt us in the form of the battle for Kashmir which started in 1947 and continues till date with no solution in site. Both the involved parties believe its a part of their territory because they believe that its more closer to their culture and hence should be a part of their territory. B ut what they fail to see is that the case of plebiscite never came to discussion. India and Pakistan both have been having a hard nut with their own internal issues, Pakistan with the disputes and killing between the Shia and Sunni tries in the name of banner race, On the other hand India with the issues like Marathis and Biharis, Hindus and Muslims , Hindus and Sikhs etc. Both are not able to handle either existing states and wish to take another disputed state to their bag. The idea for India and Pakistan was not from the people of the respective groups but were driven by the political leaders of the groups. These leaders made the people belief that the only way of growth and progress of their community is via a separate nation only. A decision which they all repented later in life.At the time of partition when Indians started the quest for India to have and nationality was more than a requirement, and ended up being a matter of pride. This was the time when the Hindus and Muslim s started having a desire for a nation. The sense of nationality could have existed without the desire for having a separate nation. northwesterly EastThe North easterly states face a similar issue when it comes to the sense of Nationality. They are a part of India, But how often have there been uprising from the North East fronts in demand for a separate land, The ULFA in Assam, The Gorkhas in the regions around Darjelling etc. The reasons why these states have always been a trouble for the core is because of the lack of importance that the North Western Indian front is given over the decades. The political parties in order to control the vote bank gave citizen channel to immigrants from Bangladesh, Which further boiled the anger of the region. These regions have never thought of India as a country but as a power at Centre which is to be followed. Hence to the North East the concept of nation comes from chance and not by choice. The mudslinging continues as the nation says that the se states dont tend to treat them as part of India and the states believe that they are treated as foreigners in India, So why not be a separate nation. Rest of India they dont believe in North Eastern as IndiansThey are often referred as Chini or Chinkis and are treated as foreigners. The Nagas in Nagaland believe they are a separate nation and consider rest of Indias as foreigners and always believed they were included in India against their will.Arunachal Pradesh has been confused which country they do belong to India or China. And as both the countries have been fighting on this front, Arunachal Pradesh believe they need a solution to their long standing problem now. This is just as big as the Kashmir issue but is never addressed.Khalistan MovementThe Sikhs wanted a land of their own right from the India freedom struggle. These unmet demands were outburst in the form of the state of Punjab during the Khalistan movement. The demand for a separate state by Bhindranwala, the ironic leader who demanded a separate land for Sikhs lead to further shows of why the concept of Indian nation is a political will rather than a cross culture believe.TelanganaAgain when the case of Telangana was addressed, the issue that the political leaders brought up to the surface was the suffering and they believe they had nothing to lose in the battle. But a battle? With their own country, their own motherland, well this is because of the fact that for them the mother land in Telangana and not India. The leaders and the followers believe that since their issues are not addressed by the Indian government, its better to be on their own.The factor that the political parties capitalise to come to power is that they assure the formation of a new state in case they come to power. They capitalise on the vote bank, and then to gain more direct power and control follow their promises to ask for a separate state. This is negotiated till the time the elasticity permits. With the regionalism of politics, race and language, there are other sectors also that get affected. The long standing untruth of patriotism is now being replaced by the new found jingoism. This is not only evident from the uproars of the states but can easily be read notwithstanding from the number of TV channels for specific states.Various Incidences in recent timesAttacks as the one triggered by MNS and Shiv Sena on the North Indian candidates for the All India Railway recruitment board entrance in West region in Mumbai shows how much politics goes into everything. The plot was to dent the feeling of India as a nation to Marathis, and to reinforce the power of Marathis in the state of Maharastra over the feeling on India as a nation. The anti Tamil riots in Karnataka in 1991, the attacks which principally took place in Bangalore and Mysore was to show the disrespect against the orders of the Cauvery Water Tribunal appointed by the Government of India. Again a matter where Region over Nation. The variou s other cited examples include The attack on North Indians in Maharastra and the referring on Biharis as outsiders in Delhi by the Chief Minister of Delhi are clear depictions that the faithfulness is more towards regions rather than nations. So what is the point then of being in the essence of a nation? The answer is simple, To keep a central authority. Which also comes from a combined political view, But as we have seen from time to time, This tends to dilute and the comfort of regionalism overpowers the feel of nationalism. The being of India as a nation is more of a will from the political fronts, where the views of nationalism are intact only till the point when it does not clashes with any other major interest. The interest may be related to religion, region, caste or other social issues. As soon as a political agenda is created out of the same, the skeleton of India is ruptured. These ruptures not only make a mark at the time of the impact but also leave significant scars whi ch are exploited time and time again based on the political requirements of the regional or nationalist partiesThe Failure of the StateThe idea of India as a nation is clashes with the regional identity, all political demand for statehood, or sub-statehood, when demonstrates identifiable support from masses clearly state the lack of Indian nationalism. The emergence of the various ethnic nations in India e.g. Bengali, Sikh, Gujarati, Manipuri, or Tamil have taken shape and protect their ideology with stronger support for their regions rather than the nation. The support is derived from the followers who put their region first to their Nation. And for them being a part of India is just a mere way of recognition till the point they get a identity of their own. The regional and sub regional registration of identity in India have served to weaken the bases of political secessionism and secessionism and separatism while not defeating the principle of internal self determination of nati on.The concept of India as nation was never there in the essence of purity It lacked the vigour and desire, and came into being as a way out of the then impossible structure of princely states structure. But, the political figures try to hold it together, and time and again, are faced by the protest when people decide that their individual or community interest is superior to that of the nation. This individualistic feeling of superiority than the nation has always been into India, right from when the states were asked to join in the Union of India. The existence of India as a nation in itself a myth, If given a chance, there will be a handful who will not be willing to have a state or sub state like the Europe or former USSR. Europe failed through history in uniting as a subcontinent, though some attempts in this direction were made (for example, Napoleon). The only country of comparable size that has better succeeded than India through history in maintaining its unity as a country is China. But even China never had so much diversity as India. But still India is better off from the modern Europe with their nationalistic phase, when every Indian state will start functioning as different countries or starts regarding them as different nations all together. The foreign ruler ship prevented this from happening. Hopefully Indian political will would keep the Indian national interest at priority for a more stable time to come and help India avoid the European nationalistic phase.

Why Do Emotions Exist? :: essays research papers

Pervading us with an array of highs and lows, ranging from anger and sadness, to love, joy, and contentment, emotions vividly affect our daily lives. So, unequivocally it could be asked, Why do emotions exist? It is possible that the sole, underlying principle of emotions is to create a reaction in people and things in our environment or perhaps they exist to be our governing channel of communication or maybe they precisely exist to regulate singular self-confidence and disparage. The theory that emotions rescue a sole principle to generate reactions amongst people, things, and their environment, is very conceivable. Every emotion has a cause and effect, and frequently, both atomic number 18 a reaction in others roughly us. Perhaps the emotions that are explicit by the opening individual have no direct affect on that individual, but on others, and the reaction emotions of others are what cause the effects on the individual. It could be a repetitive chain of events that begins a nd ends alike.Since emotions are typically needed to communicate successfully, this gives way to the possibility that emotions exist to be our governing channel of communication. The level of understandability and intensity of communication is exceedingly dependant on the amount of emotion used. Emotionless verbal communication is convoluted to understand, uninteresting and monotonous. Emotionless nonverbal communication is generally next to impossible to comprehend, and is the borderline of understanding and bewilderment. Communication could be straightforwardly thought of as expressed emotion.Maybe, instead of, or in addition to, having a principle to create reactions and to be a major channel of communication, emotions precisely exist to regulate individual self-confidence and disparage. External, as well as internal, emotions are often used to compliment and criticize a persons own character. Emotions control a persons level of confidence, or lack there of, in their success and individuality. Perhaps this self-determining strength and weakness alike could be the rationale. Why do emotions exist? is a question that could be answered with numerous possibilities each of those possibilities being parallel to other.

Shallow Romeo and Stupid Juliet :: Shakespeare, Romeo and Juliet

Shallow Romeo and Stupid Juliet         We just finished reading the play Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare. In this play we are introduced to the tragic composition of their forbidden discern which ultimately leads to their deaths.  Although Romeo and Juliet is considered to be a timeless love story, I find Romeo to be too immature for this to be so.         When we are freshman introduced to Romeo, he is involved with a girl by the name of Rosaline.  Benvolio inquired about Romeos situation with her to see if she was the cause for his melancholiness, when he discovered she was, he advised him to eat up her and move on to a nonher girl.                 Tut man, one fire burns out anothers burning               One pain is lessened by anothers anguish.               Turn giddy, and be helped by backward turning.               One desperate grief cures with anothers languish.               Take thou some new infection to thy eye,               And the rank poison of the old will die.   Romeo takes the advise Benvolio offered, and not another word about loving Rosaline is spoken.         On the same day, Romeo, Benvolio, and Mercutio went to the Capulets party dressed in masks so their identities wouldnt be known.  At the party, Romeo saw a splendid girl dancing with Paris and instantly fell in love with her.  He asked a servingman what her name was but he didnt know.                     O, she doth teach the torches to burn sleek            &n bsp      It seems she hangs upon the cheek of night                   As rich jewel in an Ethiops ear-                   Beauty too rich for use, for earth too dear.                   So shows a snowy come down trooping with crows                   As yonder lady oer her fellows shows.                   The measure done, Ill watch her place of stand                   And, touching hers, make blessed my rude hand.                   Did my heart love till now? Forsweare it, sight,  & nbsp                For I neer saw true beauty till this night.         I find this hard to believe that Romeo could instantly fall in love with Juliet by her looks alone.  Even harder to believe, is that if he was
